English Art School Opening in Brera/Moscova Milano

Welcome to the beginning of The English Art Studio

We launched our website on May 1st, 2024 and opened for pre-registrations!

I am very excited to announce that this new concept will come to fruition! English is a vital business language and for internationally minded students, a way to travel and study around the world. 67 different countries around the world speak English! That's 18% of the world! Not all English courses for children are very fun, especially after a full day of school, the last thing they want is to sit in another classroom! This way they are in a creative space with conversation and teaching centered around visual learning and phonetics. We are very excited for our English Art School Opening in Brera/Moscova Milano!

This coming September we will be open for the first time. Today, we are still deciding between a number of locations, all within the Brera and Moscova area. We're working hard to get everything organised so that we can have a great opening on the 21st of September and to begin classes during the scholastic year of 2024/2025.

• Classes will be split into trimesters and each trimester split into, two six week modules.

• Every six weeks there will be a theme change and an gallery show for friends and family to view the work of the students and no extra cost to the artist.

• Every Friday afternoons and evenings and Saturday mornings will be dedicated to open studio and workshops.

• After school courses for kids will be held Monday-Thursday for 1.5 hours and will be divided by age groups: 6-9, 9-11, 11-14

  • The classes will be taught by TEFL certified artists and instead of a formal classroom style environment, we will create and speak so that the focus is on vocabulary and especially pronunciation. Every week they will have homework related to the work in class to continue their pronunciation and words at home.

• Ceramics courses will be held in the mornings and evenings, some of them drop-in so that you can work on your projects when it suits you, rather than being tied to a fixed schedule.

  • Slab building and sculpting is the easiest place to begin and the most gratifying

  • Wheel throwing is more advanced and requires a lot of patience and skill

• Oil painting for all levels will be held mornings and evenings as well and we will explore reproduction, colour theory, master methods and more; it can also be a place where already established artists continue on with their projects and have a place to store them.

• Arts & Crafts, another drop-in course in the mornings, for all ages and will be for English conversation and something new to make every week along with tea, coffee & merenda.

• Art 101, is a place for people who doubt their creative ability or who are interested in starting! We'll begin with the color wheel, proportion, line, technique and you will find yourself becoming confident with your creative expression!

As we learn the market in our area for our classes, the pre-registration helps greatly! We can see what people are most interested and especially what days and times work best. This way when we finalise our schedule and begin official registration, the schedule can be attuned in the best possible way for our students! If you pre-register before July 4, 2024, you will receive 35 euro off of your official registration!
