Good afternoon and Happy Thanksgiving to everyone celebrating! I have a few quick updates before I finalise my December calendar. I'm updating our website with some courses, events, and parties!
What's new at the studio!?
Christmas Workshops: Saturday November 30
Children's Christmas Workshop: 15:00-17:00 ceramic ornament painting or sculpting with hot chocolate and cookies €30
For adults: 18:00-20:00 ceramic ornament painting(your choice of two) with aperitivo €45
(Extra Christmas ornaments are available for 10 each)
OR (for the extra ambitious)
18:00-21:00 a ceramic gift painting marathon(with aperitivo)- take your time decorating a ceramic piece to paint! Choose between a pie dish(+12), lasagna dish(+15), square baking dish(+12), ceramic box(included), cheese board(+5), spoon rest(+5) or two ornaments(included). Everything is first come, first serve due to limited stock! €45 (plus cost of ceramic piece listed above) the bakeware will be fired to 1260 and will be oven and dishwasher safe)
Lessons will be held by appointment only! After you've completed the course you can join us in open studio at your leisure to create even more! After you have booked, I will contact you so that we can select a time that fits both of our work calendars! 1. Learn to throw or refresh your skills with an intensive two hour lesson on the wheel, one-on-one. Clay is included so you have unlimited creativity during that time! 2. When your pieces are leather-hard, come to learn in the span of 2 hours, to trim your pieces, add spouts or handles and carve decorations and sign your name! 3. The pieces will bisque fired and ready for you to come back and glaze your pieces! Learn to use wax resist and other types of resist methods and then you can choose between a wide variety of stoneware glazes. Then there is only to wait for the glaze firing and your pottery will be available for you to pickup!
Enrich your creativity with a party at English Art Studio. Pottery, sculpting, painting and more, we can create a custom party based off of your interests! In three hours we will begin the party with the first phase of the project, then a break for food, drinks and cake while we setup for the next phase. We finish our projects and end with gifts, signing and finishing art and if we have some extra time, a small origami project. Pricing is per person. The hosts will arrive early to decorate, setup snacks and cake, or you can leave that to us! We ask for a minimum of 6 to hold a party!

For experienced potters, hand-builders and pottery decorators
The studio is open for your creative endeavours! Reserve ahead to come to the studio to work on your latest project. Wheels are limited so please Whatsapp me at 375 643 3401 to secure your seat! With hand-building and wheel throwing, the price includes clay and use of the space and tools and glazes. *Majolica(painting pottery) includes the use of underglazes, crystalline glaze, space and tools. DISCLAIMER: This is NOT a lesson! There will be someone available to guide you in the studio with tools and glazing, but you must be capable and knowledgable enough to work in the studio independently. Specialty glazes and the firing fee will depend on the product and size of your art. **Some bisque pieces are included in the fee, larger pieces have an additional cost depending on size. Because majolica only requires one firing in our studio, the firing fee is smaller than for hand-built items, but will also depend on size.
"Art that touches you deeply" Visit us in the studio with your favourite group of women to create something beautiful for the lover of fine arts and finer pleasures. With aperitivo, prosecco & spritz, eat, drink and create your elicit sculpture. We will open with a Prosecco toast in celebration of this fine, indulgent, creative gathering! Then an introduction about the design possibilities, a little bit about how to make it safe(ahem), sculpting techniques and some photo and physical art inspiration(not live!) You will then build your sculptures with care and love! When the sculptures are finished we will break for aperitivo and setup for the decoration part of the night! Be as elegant or wild with your designs! In approximately two weeks, your seductive sculptures will be glazed, fired and ready for shipping or pickup!
