November News: New Workshops & Courses!

Good Sunday morning! We have been open now for about six weeks! That's all! And things in the studio are really starting to take shape, literally and figuratively. I have been able to get back on the wheel and start some projects, but more importantly we have a lot of events coming up, so keep reading!

We have unloaded our first glaze kiln(after the test fire) and all has gone well! For everyone who has done pottery decorating, your pieces are now ready to pick up! Next we will do our first bisque fire for all of the high fire items that have been hand-built or thrown, so, if there is a project you would like to finish, please contact me and let's finish it up this week so we can fire this coming weekend!

November is coming in with a lot of new workshops and more to come! As they come, I will keep you all updated in our whatsapp group and through the news-blog.

Firstly, I am very please with my Saturday kids! We will continue on with ceramics projects that we started and for new kids, they can begin a ceramics project!

The Milan Women's Network comes to our studio again with an amazing group of ladies when we will work with clay and learn to decorate with engobe and some sgraffito methods. If you would like to join this event, please register through their own link!

Professional floral designer Elena Mencarelli is back again for Brunch & Bouquet event, building hand-tied spiral bouquets with the season's flowers and to teach methods in choosing flowers, how to keep them alive longer and the key to making your successful bouquet stand on its own!

Sydney Duncan, a really talented fashion textile designer is welcomed to the studio for the first time hosting a simple and chic embroidery techniques workshop with aperitivo.

And finally, looking ahead to Christmas I have organised three separate events! Two for decorating Christmas ornaments with majolica methods with hot chocolate and cookies and another to come and decorate ceramics as gifts for Christmas! I hope to see you there!

Last but now least, our courses are ever expanding, as we learn what works for our studio! Please, check check on our website to register for any one of our courses!

We have added a very flexible open studio for our experienced artists, a painting course for both acrylic and oil painters of all levels, and a sketchbook drop-in course, perfect for those with artists block! And we continue on with our Art in English courses after school!
