Not your basic art class! An after-school English immersion art class for your young artists! It doesn't matter if they are already fluent in English or they are starting out, our focus is on pronunciation and conversation and the art projects will be centered around the topic of the week. Worksheets will be sent home weekly to show our progress and so our artists can review a little bit of what we've learned. We will use many different mediums: ceramics, painting, drawing, sculpting, collage, pop-ups, glass fusing and majolica! Prices are for the entire scholastic year(36 lessons) from September until June! And if your child misses a class for any reason, they can join another class on a different day to make it up. Prices include most art mediums and there will be a list of tools required OR you may purchase a kit from us.

For our older kids we offer a ceramics class in English. Focus on immersive pronunciation and conversation while learning this new skill. They will learn the basics of coiling, slab building, sculpting and get a chance to throw on the wheel and learn all of the steps from start to finish. They can decide the topic and funtion of their pieces and will also learn to trim, sand and glaze their pieces. Prices are all inclusive and lasts for 36 lessons from September until June. We only ask that you provide your child with an apron(grembiule).

For all levels. Either an introduction or a refresher to perfect your technique. This drop-in course gives direct instruction and on the first day you will learn to throw a piece. In the second class you can continue throwing or go on with trimming your pieces, slips, engobes, then we will fire your work and you can return to sand, finish and fire with a final glaze. Price is all inclusive of clay, glazes and firings.

There is nothing like the instant gratification that comes from creating something from a ball of clay. In these classes, you will be supported and instructed on basics of hand-building, coiling, slab building and using extruded clay to sculpt and make functional pieces as well as trimming, sanding and glazing. The price is inclusive to each session.

Paint your own pottery AKA majolica is available every day! Pay the studio fee and then choose your desired piece. We will start with a crystalline white base and then work with overglazes OR you can choose to work with underglazes directly and then we will finish with a clear coat. The studio price includes time, instruction, glazing and firing. The ceramic piece is priced separately and is based on size.

This drop in course is available on Mondays at 18:30. Every week you will receive a prompts and learning new techniques.

For all levels, you may choose to start from the very basics or to continue on with support, to learn new techniques. For beginners, we will start with planning the painting with the grid method and sketching, then all of the colour theory and layering techniques needed to execute your work! Price includes time, instruction, storage and solvents. For paints and brushes, a list will be provided OR you may choose to purchase a kit from us.

In this workshop you will learn a bit of history about hand-painted pottery and the various techniques. You will choose your design and paint your piece. We will finish and fire your piece and let you know when its ready to pick up! Price is all inclusive of ceramic piece, glaze and firing.
