Studio Overview
What do we do? Below is a breakdown of our offerings at the studio. If you'd like to know more or would like to give us your opinions, please don't hesitate to let us know!
A look at what we have to offer:
Kids! Art & English
We offer after school courses in a 100% English speaking environment with an emphasis on pronunciation. The courses are taught by mother tongue English speaking instructors who are TEFL certified. We teach English through creation and conversation, with a new project every week. Classes are offered Monday through Thursday for ages 6-9, 9-11 and 11-14.
Ceramics
Do you need to get your hands dirty?Drop-in ceramics classes for hand-building will be offered mornings and evenings. Wheel throwing will be offered by appointment only and sgraffito will be offered in workshop form. All pricing includes clay and glaze and firing pricing will depend on the size of the piece.
Oil Painting
Oil painting for all levels will be offered mornings and evenings. You can start from square one or you can work in the tranquility of the studio and have a place to store your piece. Reproduction work, colour theory, historic art techniques and genres will be taught. It is a relaxed and fun class to develop a deep and enjoyable skillset.
Sketchbook
Artists block leaves your sketchbook empty and you frustrated and uninspired. Sketchbook class is offered to help you fill your sketchbook with a new method, style or medium every week, with a homework prompt for practice. Course offered mornings and evenings in a primarily English speaking and supportive environment.
Private Events
If you're looking for an evening with friends to have a good time and create, we can design for you a customized evening with aperitivo and the art project of your choice. We require a minimum of 6 participants to book.

Parties for children are also possible, but we must limit the party to a maximum of 15 children. Contact us to develop together an art or craft perfect for your child!
Workshops
Diversifying techniques is always interesting to artists who want to express themselves to the fullest. Friday afternoons and evenings are set aside for workshops. From floral arrangement to mosaic work, making a ceramic place setting, still life and figure drawing. There is room for every method and every artist at our studio!
Gallery Shows
Every six weeks our studio will open its doors to show off your best work! We want everyone to get exposure and to have the pride and satisfactions that goes along with presenting your creations. For ALL who have participated in a course during the previous six week period, you may show your best work for free and children also gain entrance for one parent for free. We will celebrate with prosecco and aperitivo, entry will be offered to the public for a small fee and if you wish to sell your pieces we are happy to help you make it happen!

Welcome to The English Art Studio, where creativity meets language in the heart of Milan, Italy! We are a NEW art studio offering art classes in English for all ages. Classes for children are focused of phonics and pronunciation, ceramics courses, painting, and various other creative courses and workshops for all ages. Our studio is a place where art and language combine to inspire and educate. We believe in the power of creativity to transform lives, and our team is dedicated to providing a nurturing and supportive environment for all our students. At The English Art Studio, we stand out by fostering a love for art and language, and we invite you to join us in this unique journey of self-expression and learning.

As an American in Milano I see a gap in English education, specifically in pronunciation. English is a desired and important language for internationally minded people, business and schooling. I created The English Art Studio to fill the gap, for children and for adults.
Children can enroll in one of the 1.5 hour, fully immersive, after school courses where we will speak 100% English and work on phonetics and pronunciation of the English sounds while also learning new artistic skills, getting away from electronics and getting their hands dirty. At the end of each 6 week themed module, we will have a gallery show exhibiting everyone's best works of art!

For those who want to improve their English language skills through conversation or those whose native language is English, I invite you to participate in one of our morning or evening ceramic or painting classes to socialize in our creative environment. There will always be tea, coffee and a merenda. The classes are for all levels, so you may work as playfully or seriously as you like with proper instruction! We will also have workshops from guest artists and change our themes every 6 weeks and friends and family are invited to a gallery show to show your works and enjoy an aperitivo!
